Nettinkers
Beginnings
9 January 2008 Prompted by a recent article by Huberman et al. and the interest it provoked among #So.ME in the UK, I've set up this wiki to coordinate discussion of the article and to propose further research.

Future Research
Twitter provides a steady stream of digitalised data about a contemporary phenomenon and is very useful for students who are learning to do research.
I am hoping that people will propose research projects that students can uplift and complete on their own or with your guidance.
Why Do Research on Twitter?
We use research for various reasons and I think it will be interesting to tease out our various motivations. Here is an excellent link to a PhD student in statistics, Flowing Data, on the relationship between social purpose and research.
